about us
THE NBT
The NBT has it's roots in video production. Working professionally in production for over 20 years.
Our new home, at Cave Springs Lanes, is equipped with a complete 32 lane streaming studio. Our facility is the first of it’s kind in the country, capable of streaming and recording each pair with live scoring and standings.
We are building additional partnerships around the country to stream the best scratch bowling at the local level. Our first expansion center is Country Bowl, located in in Redding California, where we will be streaming their new Scratch League.. We have also partnered with the MSBS who currently operates scratch / sport shot tournaments in 6 states throughout the Midwest.
In addition to our new bowling studio in St. Louis and California, we have the ability to duplicate our production in a portable, mobile studio package at any center in the country.

The Nationwide Bowlers Tour is focused on one thing, the bowlers. We have been working with an advisory group of bowlers who regularly compete in tournaments around the country. We are letting our advisory group determine the trajectory of the NBT and giving bowlers what they want..
CAVE SPRINGS LANES

Cave Springs Lanes has been hosting tournaments for the NBT/GPT tournaments for 8 years and we have built a great working relationship.
Center owner Dan Schmidt saw the big picture when we proposed building a production studio onsite. He made a lot of improvements to Cave Springs Lanes so we could produce the best streams possible.
Cave Springs Lanes is the new home to the NBT with a permanent 32 lane livestreaming installation and our new broadcast studio hub, capable of controlling remote streaming installations from coast to coast.
about us
CAVE SPRINGS LANES
We could not be happier to have our home center and main production studio located at Cave Springs Lanes. The owners and staff have been incredible to work with.
Dan Schmidt is part owner of Cave Springs and Harvest Lanes. In addition to owning these two centers, Dan has owned and operated 6 pro shops in the St. Louis, O’Fallon, and St. Peters area.
Additionally, he has been the director of the St louis High School League for 20 years. (over 75 teams) and has created and operated the Missouri State $11,000 High School Scholarship scratch tournament, also writing the software to run the tournament.
Further involvement in youth bowling includes the creation and operation of the Mid America $11,000 High School handicap tournament.
He has also been the President of the St. Louis Bowling Proprietors for 15 years and we will be working hard to bring some big events to the St. Louis area.
COUNTRY BOWL
about us
COUNTRY BOWL
The NBT'S first expansion city located in Redding California.
On April 1, 2022, Anthony, Tona, and Tim completed the purchase of Country Bowl, a 16-lane bowling center in Redding, California. Their bowling alley is a family-owned and operated business that delivers a unique and main attraction to enjoy, compete, and eat while having a value-added experience. With well over 30 years of loving the sport of bowling, they will make sure their community sees Country Bowl as the best place to be and be served all year long.
With so many different styles of swing, footwork, and releases, Anthony Thompson decided his future career of bowling at the age of 7. Watching Hall of Fame bowler, Parker Bohn III, win multiple PBA tournaments on TV was something he aspired to do.
Having such a big influence on his life, Anthony became a PBA Regional title winner along with bowling the 2nd highest 5-game series on the planet scoring 268-279-300-300-290 for 1437 in 2020 at West Seattle Bowl, which you can watch on YouTube by searching “Anthony Thompson bowling”.
Anthony continues to prove himself on and off the lanes with his wife Tona, father-in-law Tim, and oldest step-daughter Trinity who are also accomplished players in their own rights. Their family continues to exercise talent for many generations to come.

Anthony and his wife Tona Thompson caught the attention of the NBT by making improvements to the center every week. The steady barrage of Facebook posts highlighting the renovation of the center was enough to warrant a conversation, that later turned into a partnership.
We consider ourselves lucky be associated with such dedicated center owners who understand the goals of the NBT. Thanks for all the hard work helping us figure out our first, large scale remote setup, with 16 lanes of streaming including live scoring and standings. Country Bowl is also hosting the the first NBT League this fall alongside our home center at Cave Springs Lanes.
MIDWEST SCRATCH
BOWLING SERIES

The NBT is the official streaming partner with the “Midwest Scratch Bowling Series” (MSBS) to stream scratch bowling tournaments throughout the Midwest. The MSBS currently runs more than 150 scratch tournaments per year across 6 states including Michigan, Ohio, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Indiana, and Illinois.
We will be working with Brian Regan from the MSBS to stream his current events as well as expand MSBS tournaments into additional states throughout the Midwest.
about us
THE MIDWEST TOUR
The Midwest Scratch Bowling Series is the first regional partner for the NBT
Brian has been running scratch bowling tournaments since the late 90s. His current and most successful venture started out as the Michigan Scratch Bowling Series, then became Midwest Scratch Bowling Series, and is now in transition to the Scratch Bowling Series. These events have been running successfully since August 2012.
Brian started running tournaments because he wanted more scratch competition for himself and others, preferably on sport conditions. There have never been any average divisions or handicap of any sort, and bowlers of all ages are always welcome. MSBS has added house shot and challenge pattern events over the years, but they still mainly focus on competing on sport conditions.
MSBS runs tournaments in hundreds of centers throughout the Midwest annually and constantly changes patterns from World bowling patterns, USBC patterns, Kegel patterns, Brunswick patterns, patterns created by Brian himself, and any other random patterns found on the internet. The idea has always been to mix things up as much as possible.
With as far as MSBS has gone, Brian says there’s a lot more to be accomplished. Through more collaborations with groups like NBT, the MSBS hopes to do great things for the sport of bowling for decades to come!
